Mill Cottage - John o' Groats

Stayed in a lovely Mill Cottage with stunning views of the Pentland Firth. Close proximity to John O'Groats and the ferry to Orkney. Perfect for our family of three, with enough space for a group of four. the cottage had all the necessary amenities and was comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, visiting places like Wick, Thurso, Dunnet Head, Skara Brae, and Brogda. We were thrilled to spot otters in the nearby burn and seals on the beach just 100m away. the location was great for birdwatching. Despite the occasional clouds, rain, and storms, we were fortunate to witness the Northern Lights and experience dark sky views of the stars and the Milky Way on clear nights. it was a fantastic week. Cons: Everything was fantastic! 😊.

Mill Cottage was a great value for our money - comfy, warm, and filled with fascinating history from the old mill. The location was superb, with a beautiful view of the Pentland Firth and easy access to John O'Groats village. The cottage itself was spacious, well-equipped, and perfect for our family of three. We even spotted otters in the nearby burn and seals on the beach. Plus, the Northern Lights and starry nights were a bonus!

Food for breakfast could have been better with a wider variety of options.
